The Fretz Mission House
The Fretz Mission House was purchased in 1998 with monies donated by Mrs. Fretz of Hamburg. It exists to provide an opportunity for those down on their luck to get back on their feet. Specifically, guests live rent free for 12 to 18 months. Upon entry, their pantry, medicine cabinet, and closets are already stocked, and they pay no utilities or phone bills during their stay. During their residence, they are provided whatever counseling, financial, and social services are needed to promote their eventual independence. At Christmas, the congregation ensures a present-filled holiday.
