Giving Electronically
You can make secure online donations by clicking on this First UCC - Online Giving link, which will take you to our Vanco online giving website.
You can make electronic donations using MasterCard, Visa, or Discover Card; or you can contribute with an electronic fund transfer from your bank account, whichever is more convenient and helpful for you.
On our online giving website you can make a one time donation or a recurring donation, such as if you would like the convenience of automatically giving weekly or monthly, without needing to remember to write out a check or bring your giving envelope to worship. For those giving electronically and wanting place something in the offering plate when passed during worship, we have index cards in the pews which you can put in the offering plate indicating you are giving electronically, which are placed on the altar for the blessing of the offerings.
You can also download the “Vanco Mobile Faith Engagement” app to your phone or mobile device from your app store, and make donations right from your smartphone or other mobile device.
By creating a Vanco log-in, you are also able to see your past transactions and print a copy of your online donations for your own records.

Giving By Postal Mail
You can donate to a specific ministry of the church or to the general ministries of our church in-person in the offering plate or by making a donation payable to “First UCC” and sending it to 76 South 3rd Street; Hamburg, PA 19526. If you would like to direct your offering toward a special mission or cause, please write that ministry in the memo line; or write “General Offering” in the memo line, for your donation to go to the general missions and ministry of the church.
Envelope Packets
For those who are interested, First UCC provides envelope packets, which contain an envelope prelabeled for each Sunday for your convenience for making a weekly contribution in the offering plate. The packets are mailed out quarterly to your home address directly from our partner Christian organization Augsburg Fortress. To begin receiving envelope packets simply contact Karen Heck in the church office at 610-562-2593 or hamburg1stucc@verizon.net.
Giving Statements
For your convenience in preparing your tax documents, our Office Manager Karen Heck sends out annual giving statements near the beginning of the new year for the previous giving year for those who are giving electronically or using the envelope packets. If you would like a giving statement and are not giving electronically or using the packets, please be sure to include your name and address with donations and request a giving statement from the Office Manager. If you have created a Vanco log-in, you also have the ability to print a record of the online donations that you have made for yourself.
