Craft Day! - November 3, 2024

We kicked off our first craft day in our new crafting room by the kitchen! We had a great time working on our first craft for the bazaar. If you look closely, you get a sneak peek of what we were working on for the bazaar in two weeks!

Trunk-or-Treat - October 30 and 31, 2024

Wow! What a turn out! We had so many kids come and visit our spooky Halloween trunks! We had a blast! Next year, we are planning for even more cars and more fun!

Reverse Trick-or-Treat - October 27, 2024

This year, we visited our friends at Laurel Nursing Home and delivered some goodies to the residents. We had a great time dressing up and spreading some spooktacular cheer!

Wacky Sock Day - October 6, 2024

October is Socktober! Today we kicked off our sock collecting month in a fun way! Members wore their wackiest socks. We will be collecting socks the entire month of October for our friends at Laurel Nursing Home! Check out all of the cool socks people wore!

2024 Cupcake Wars - September 9, 2024

This year we had a total of 14 different cupcakes and not one was the same flavor! What a wonderful time we had sharing in fellowship! Congrats to our members, Lari and Ana! Lari won the overall Best In Show Award selected by three special judges and Ana won the People's Choice Award! Thank you to our judges, our bakers, and our taste-testers!

2024 Hamburg-er Festival - August 31, 2024

We had another amazing year filled with lots of cooking, baking, and new this year, we shared our yard with a few goats! Thank you to all who came out to visit us and many thanks to all of our AMAZING helpers - whether you baked, make the hamburger barbeque, served, donated items, helped with set up, tear down....the list goes on and on, we are just so blessed to have so many amazing people in our lives. THANK YOU!

An "Up-Lifting" Movie Night - June 1, 2024

We beat the heat by having a fun, family-friendly movie viewing party. Just looking at the photo, we bet you migt be able to tell what movie we enjoyed. A Hint - it was an up-lifting experience for all!

Open House and Anniversary Celebration - May 19, 2024

Did you know, we are celebrating our 125th anniversary this year? We have been celebrating this huge milestone throughout the past few months. One of the ways we celebrated was with an open house. Members of the community, church members, and friends and family were welcomed and took part in looking at some of the church's history, hearing from some of our elders, looking at some photos from past and present, and even participated in a church tour and scavenger hunt. Even current members learned some pretty neat things about some of the hidden gems that our church holds! What a fun time to celebrate such a wonderful moment in history!

Mother's Day Tea - May 11, 2024

We had such a fabulous time celebrating all of our wonderful mothers! This year, participants enjoyed a beautiful Mother's Day Story, prayer, a presentation about honey bees, and so many wonderful treats! Thank you to our mothers, for all you do every single day!

125th Anniversary Concert - May 5, 2024

The celebration continues! In honor of our 125th Anniversary, we held a music concert which featured many of our own talented members from past and present. Thanks to those who celebrated with us!

Church Yard Sale - April 20, 2024

Wow! What a turnout! We had so many visitors this year as we took part in the Hamburg townwide community yard sale! So much fun!

Souper-Bowl of Caring - February 11, 2024

In honor of Soup-er Bowl for Caring, our CE Team and Events and Outreach Committees joined forces to do a food drive and a fun soup fellowship. Kids collected food and monetary donations. All proceeds went to the Northern Berks Food Pantry. A fun time had by all!

New Member Fellowship - January 28, 2024

What an exciting way to start off 2024! Today, we welcomed 5 new church members! We are so happy and blessed to have them! A luncheon was held after church where members could mingle and get to learn more about each other. Welcome Ana, Dan, Gloria, Kevin, and Sunny!

The Great Christmas Bake-Off - December 17, 2023

A new actiity this year....but still oh so fun! Members of church brought their best holiday desserts to share with each other. We had a hot chocolate bar, fun crafts for the kids, Christmas caroling, and had a great fellowship after church! Check out those awesome decorations (We had to add one of our sanctuary because it is oh so beautiful this time of year)!

2024 Christmas Bazaar - November 18, 2023

We had another AMAZING Christmas Bazaar filled with lots of laughs, excitement, and holiday cheer. Thank you to those members of the community that came out to support the church and also many local businesses! We had a wonderful time! Can't wait to see what next year's bazaar will bring!

History of Hex Signs and Barn Stars - October 22, 2023

We welcomed Eric Claypoole who shared his expertise on the history of Hex Signs and barn stars in Pennsylvania Dutch Country. It was such a pleasure to meet him and hear about the history of these beautiful signs!

Happy 125th Anniversary! - September 24, 2023

This year we celebrated 125 years! What a wonderful feeling to be a part of history, to experience history, and to look back on our history! We are so blessed to be able to be a part of this monumental moment!

2023 Hamburger Festival - September 2, 2023

Sandwich Sale: July 29, 2023

What a fun time we had making sandwiches! Thank you to the volunteers who helped us make this tasty sandwiches and thanks to our friends and family who helped us enjoy eating them!

Mystery Dinner: July 15, 2023

What an exciting and fun event! We teamed up with St. John's Lutheran Church of Hamburg to provide this joint murder mystery dinner! We had an amazing turnout and the night was filled with lots of laugh, love, and mystery! Thank you to all who came out to support this awesome night!

Free Community Meal: June 10, 2023

We had a wonderful turnout for our first free community meal! Thank you to the many businesses and community members that donated! Thank you, also, to St. John's Lutheran Church of Hamburg for collaborating with us!

Youth Goes to Rita's: June 4, 2023

This past Sunday, our youth crew took a trip to the Hamburg RIta's and learned all about the neat things they do! A fun time was had by all!

Easter Pie Sale: April 7, 2023

This Easter has been a busy one! We decided to use that beautiful new kitchen of ours to make and bake pies! We had an amazing group of helpers who baked, and baked, and baked! We made 101 pies including apple, peach, cherry, pumpkin, shoo-fly and even blueberry crumb cake. Thank you to everyone who supported this awesome cause! Proceeds benefited the Kitchen Capital Campaign.

Lent Pizza Sale: March 17, 2023

We made a total of 80 pizzas, and we had so much fun doing it! Thank you to our friend from Minersville Bakery for baking the pizza shells! Thank you to those that purchased a pizza. We hope they were as delicious as they looked!

Chili Cook-Off: January 29, 2023

Congratulations to Stephanie Getcher who won for her chili entry in the category of Hot and Spicy and Jessica Conlin who won for her chili entry in the category of Mild and Tasty. Thank you to all of our chili cookers! Every single entry tasted delicious!

You've Been Mugged! December, 2022

This year, we had some wonderful helpers who spent some time putting together packages with mugs and candy to all of our church members on our cheer list. Merry Christmas, Everyone!

Sausage and Pancake Breakfast - December 10, 2022

We recently held our first sausage and pancake breakfast and are so blessed to have had such a wonderful turnout! Not only did we serve up fluffy pancakes and held some awesome reindeer games, but Santa came to share in the fun, too!

Happy Veteran's Day: Quilts of Valor - November 13, 2022

First Reformed UCC recognized and thanked its members with "Quits of Valor." Thirteen church members were awarded one of these very special, hand-made quilts representing the Army, Air Force, Navy, and Marines. Thank you, veterans and service men and wome, for your service!
